Ash Resources, based at Matla power station, (Kriel/Secunda in Mpumalanga) has a vacancy for:
Plant/ Site Manager
Minimum Qualification/Experience:
- Preferably a qualification in Engineering / a certified trade (skilled artisan).
- Experience in management principals with at least 5 years’ + experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
- A code 08 driver’s license.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- Must be a team player with natural leadership skills, and proven track record in doing things the “Afrimat Way”.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):
- Manage the production outputs by directing and coordinating the activities of the staff.
- Ensure optimal production targets are achieved within product specifications.
- Provide management with the required statistical reports on performance.
- Manage the different departments at the operation.
- Ensure all required equipment is available for production and drive preventative maintenance effort.
- Ensure all the products meet the required SABS specifications.
- Ensure that the maintenance schedules are conducted on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Safety, Environmental regulations, Labour Legislation and ensure site compliance.
- Liaise with sales staff to ensure that customers’ requirements are met.
