Plant Assistant
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Pre employment medical required
- Able to meet Occupational Health programs on minimum standards of fitness to perform a work at a mine
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure that the plant is cleaned regularly and as when required
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant
- Assist operators
- Assist with batching
- Stacking and any other manual work that may or may not involve use of basic tools
- Make test cubes and conduct slump
- Report all safety hazards, accidents, and incidents to your manager
- Carry out other instructions given by your superior
- Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
- Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site
- Acknowledge that Management reserves the right to allocate additional tasks when for wherever reason the task cannot be completed on standard allocated job
Be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when required. Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
