Afrimat Cape Lime Langvlei, based in Robertson has a vacancy for a:
Millwright
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- School Grade: Grade 12/ N3 relevant trade
- Qualifications: Red Seal Trade Certificate- Millwright
- Driver’s License: Yes – Code EB valid driver’s license
- Technical/Core Training: Must be computer literate- MS Office Suite, Basic Welding ability
- Experience: 1-2 years Mining related work experience will be advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical, electrical maintenance and installations in accordance with planned and preventative maintenance schedules and project plans
- Ordering parts or equipment as and when required
- Adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks
- Must have good knowledge and experience in a plant or similar working environment and be able to do fault-finding, isolating faults, repair faults and troubleshooting
- Complete documentation, including inspection sheets as required
- Fabrication of parts as required
- Attend to machine breakdowns of mechanical and electrical nature for all equipment under engineering/production functional control on shift
Physical Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be declared fit by an Occupational Medical Practitioner to perform work on a Mine in line with the code of Practice to Perform Work on a Mine and Mines Health and Safety Act
- Must be willing to work overtime and standby's as and when required to do so
- Must be neat, tidy and be able to maintain good housekeeping in your work area
