Loader Operator (Dennegeur Quarry– Paarl)
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum Grade 9
- Must have 3 -5 years’ experience.
- Be literate and functionally numerate.
- Pre-employment medical required.
- Must have a valid Operator’s Certificate
- Must have a basic mechanical background.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites
Duties and responsibilities
- Operating Front-End Loader on site to load all trucks with product in time without contamination.
- Ensure that all stockpiles are kept neat and safe
- Operate F.E.L in a respectful safe manner in line with the training received.
- Keep the machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing daily pre-start checklist correctly
- Assist with the housekeeping around the production area.
- Be able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays).
- Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior.
- Able to work as part of a team
- Be safety conscious.
Be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when required. Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
