HAS A VACANCY FOR:
Health and Safety Administrator (Glen Douglas Mine)
Minimum Qualification/Experience:
- Certificate – Grade 12
- Certificate – Health and safety representative will be advantageous
- Certificate – Microsoft Office (must be computer literate and have good administrative and computer skills)
- Must be able to work accurately with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and legislative organisations
- Willing to travel (site visits)
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
- Assist the SHHEQ Department to:
- Develop, implement, review, improve and maintain company safety, health, hygiene, environmental and quality (SHHEQ) management systems
- Develop, implement, review, improve and maintain company SHHEQ policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures, code of practices and risk assessments (integrated into company SHHEQ management systems)
- Update and maintain an electronic SHHEQ management system / document control / record keeping
- Ensure compliance with all administrative functions related to the company's SHHEQ management system
- Compile and maintain operational SHHEQ files for existing and new clients / projects
- Raise SHHEQ awareness
- Keep registers and schedules for:
- Employee fitness to work, training requirements, PPE issuing, tools / equipment / TMM legal compliance requirements, safety data sheets etc.
Be prepared to work after hours when needed. Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
