Foreman
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Competent A Person
- Legal Liability
- Grade 12
- First Aid Certificate
- Basic Computer Skills
- Valid Drivers license
- 5 Year of Experience being a supervisor and managing mining operations activities and team members
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and mentorship skills
- Good Knowledge of equipment capabilities and operating principals
- Basic understanding of engineering principals and practices
- Able to work under pressure
- Flexibility to work outside of normal hours during emergencies and planned overtime
- Applicates from the following Tribal authorities will be preference: Lugedlane, Mawewe, Matsamo
- Own Transport
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist Site Manager with all mining requirement and collaborate as a team
- Supervise and manage the performance of mining operators, equipment, and processes according to the operating plan and procedures
- Manage shift supervisors and motivate the mining team in their responsibilities as per the Afrimat Way
- Coordinate activities of third-party contractors to minimise disruption of mining processes
- Understand policies and procedures, must be able to act on corrective discipline of staff members when required
- Ensure health and safety legislation and contractual obligations are adhere to
- Ensure complete confidentiality of all information pertaining to the business of the company
- Make sure that shift reports completed at the end of every shift and check the accuracy before submission
