Afrimat Mining services, based at D&B Nkomati has a vacancy for a:
Drill rig operator - Leopard DI550 / DI650
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12
- Operators License
- Valid Driver’s license
- Heavy Equipment certificate will be an advantage
- Minimum of 3–5-year experience in Drill rig operation
- Experience in operating DI550 will be an advantage
- Experience working at a remote mining site and in a cross-cultural working environment
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Working shift hours
- Own Transport
- Applications from the following Tribal authorities will be preference: Lugedlane, Mawewe, Matsamo
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure that there is enough material to run the machine
- Operate eqiupment according to relevant mining requierments and standards
- Operating equipment to achieve daily tragets
- Manage Resources (Water, Waste Oil GET)
- Report all Safetey hazards, accidents and incidents to your manager
- Assisting in drilling and blasting activities
- Monitor the dials and pressure in order to use drill rig optimally
- Operate the machine within the manufactures specification and according to set standard
- Complete a full drilling production sheet for each shift and submitting to the correct department
